Your Lessons with a DSA Approved Female Instructor
Lesson Times: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Saturday 9am-12pm
Evening lessons available on request.
As a beginner, your first lesson will include familiarising yourself with the car's controls and practice moving and stopping safely. You will always get to drive the car on your first lesson even if only for a short distance.
Tuition is strictly on a one-to-one basis and I do not carry passengers in the back. However, if you feel nervous about your first lesson, you may bring a family member/friend with prior arrangement.
At the beginning of the driving course, you will receive an information pack including your own personal progress chart. This lets you see how you are progressing at a glance.
How Long Will I Be Learning To Drive?
The DSA recommend 45 hours of professional instruction combined with 22 hours personal practice before taking the driving test. Of course this depends upon your natural ability and some pupils require more or less time. Pupils who have access to a vehicle for private practise in between lessons are generally more successful at the test. If you do not have access to a vehicle for personal practise I recommend having at least 1.5 hours per week which gives more practice time and proves more financially cost-effective, but if you only want 1 hour a week that is fine the choice is always yours, it just may take a little longer to get to test level!
