The Driving Theory Test
Before you can take your Practical Driving Test, you need to pass the Driving Theory Test.
The theory test is made up of two parts;
Part One - Multiple Choice:
- Format: Touch screen multiple choice
- No. Questions: 50
- Time for Test: 57 minutes
- Pass Mark: 43/50
Part Two - Hazard Perception:

Format: Video clip and mouse click
- No. Questions: 14 clips (15 hazards)
- Pass Mark: 44/75

The Practical Driving Test
The driving test is not something to worry about. Your female XL In Driving instructor will only put you in for your practical test when she feels you are ready and able to pass. This is demonstrated by the consistently high pass rate.
Your test is designed to see if you can drive safely, know the highway code and can demonstrate this in your driving. You are allowed up to 15 driver faults that do not compromise saftey to yourself or any other road users.

At the end of the test you will receive a pass or a fail with constructive feedback from the examiner.
